Sponsor for the People's Choice Prize
The Bay of Fires Art Prize will have a People's Choice Prize. The St Helens Supa IGA has generously contributed $500 towards the Inaugural People's Choice. The prize winner will be selected by visitors to the exhibition voting on their selection. The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the exhibition at the end of June.
NRM North Sponsors Junior Prize
Natural Resource Management North is supporting a new art prize for secondary school aged artists. The Bay of Fires Junior Art Prize is an important addition to the bigger Bay of Fires Art Prize giving young emerging artists an opportunity to be part of the event.
The total sponsorship of $2000 covers the prizes, the administrative and exhibition costs.
Chris Draffin from the Bay of Fires Art Prize said "This is a very generous contribution and it should excite many of Tasmania's young artists. When NRM North made the offer, we jumped at it as we saw this as a way to encourage new artists to show their ideas, skills and creativity. We would also welcome the involvement of schools."
